Mission
We weave networks of collaboration between people, communities, organizations and territories around community and indigenous communication.
We work collectively from our diverse backgrounds and perspectives. At the center is listening, the communities guide us in the what and the how. We respond to their needs and dreams by sharing knowledge, methodologies and technologies.
We accompany processes, promote meetings, design and implement strategies and systematize experiences. We see in communication the possibility of (re)creating autonomous, free and harmonious territories.

2. Generate conditions that allow indigenous peoples to have their own media that meet their principles and values, as well as access to non-indigenous media without discrimination.

Methodology
Transversal Axes
Training and support:
We strengthen community and indigenous communicators and media through the development of technical and organizational capacities that contribute to the sustainability of their communication processes.
Meeting and articulation:
We promote the meeting and articulation between communities, organizations and community and indigenous media for the exchange of knowledge, methodologies and tools that strengthen their communication strategies and collective knowledge networks.
Genre:
We understand the gender perspective in an intersectional manner, recognizing the different social factors that generate inequality such as sex, ethnicity, place of residence, social class, economic status, academic level, age and sexual orientation.
We are in a constant and active process of reflection in all our areas to generate processes and systematic actions that contribute to eradicate these inequalities.
Research and Systematization:
We encourage the construction and exchange of knowledge generated in the practice of our areas of action through the systematization of experiences for a better understanding of the processes of indigenous and community communication. We use Participatory Action Research (PAR) as a primary methodology for research to contribute to the solution of problems and needs of the communities.
We are a research institution registered with the National Council of Humanities, Sciences and Technologies (Conahcyt).
CITSAC
In 2019 we created, together with Rhizomática, the Center for Research in Community Technologies and Knowledge (CITSAC), a space where we promote the production and exchange of our own knowledge and enhance community capacities and processes aimed at good living.
ComunicarES Blog
With the aim of deepening and improving the work done in the accompaniment of indigenous and community communication processes, we launched the ComunicarES Blog as an open invitation to reflection.
